About

Elijah

Hi, I'm Elijah

I'm a history/philosophy student in Minnesota building SaveCatcher to help people catch subscriptions and price hikes without sacrificing privacy. No data selling, no bank logins - just math in your browser.

I built this because I noticed a lot of fintech apps aren't built around privacy, and I wanted a tool that respects privacy. SaveCatcher processes everything locally - your data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly choose to share it.

Important to know

SaveCatcher doesn't guarantee you'll save money. It's a tool that helps you identify subscriptions, price increases, and potential duplicate charges in your bank statements. The information it provides can help you make informed decisions, but actual savings depend on the actions you take - like canceling unused subscriptions or negotiating better rates. Always verify charges with your bank before making financial decisions.

Why SaveCatcher exists

1

Privacy shouldn't be optional

Most financial tools require bank logins or send your data to servers. SaveCatcher runs entirely in your browser - you can even use it offline.

2

Price hikes are sneaky

Companies raise prices quietly. SaveCatcher helps identify price increases over 10% so you can decide if subscriptions are still worth keeping. Remember, it's a tool to help inform your decisions - not a guarantee of savings.

3

Simple tools work best

No AI, no machine learning - just clear rules that detect subscriptions, duplicates, and price changes. You can understand exactly how it works.
